Teaching is carried out in two shifts, and it is customary for the pupils in A shift to start the first week of the school year in the morning as the pupils in shift B start in the afternoon.

The classrooms of younger pupils are located separately, in the part of school with the entrance from Svetozara Markovica Street while the older pupils have the classrooms near the entrance from Kralja Milutina Street. The school has two inner schoolyards on two different levels, with are linked with stairs and seven chestnut trees, which remind us of the 19 th century school when they were planted. Both younger and older schools have their exit into these schoolyards which are always watched over by the teachers. At both entrances there are security cameras and a professional security guard.

The school building, in the shape of Cyrillic letter P, has two floors, 34 classrooms, 7 study rooms (for lessons of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Music, Technical Education), 2 Physical Education gyms, 2 rooms for daycare centre, Playroom, Computing classroom, Auditorium, Multimedia centre (with library), canteen, cafeteria, Documentary centre for the French language, offices for psychologist and pedagogue, office for the head teacher, two teaching staff rooms, and offices for Legal Service and Accounts.
